Evolution Grass Seed is a novel blend of handpicked varieties of grass seeds that are second to none and acts as a keystone to a regenerative turf system. Evolution incorporates a variety of seeds, including tall fescue, ryegrass and bluegrass, species designed to work in unison to protect against insects as well as crowd out weeds in the soil and on the surface. Evolution meets the standard set by the Alliance for Low Input Sustainable Turf (A-List), a stringent standard that means Evolution Grass Seed requires less chemical pesticides, fertilizers and water inputs.
Evolution is also blended with Paleo Seed Treatment to provide germination in 10 days or less without using high phosphorus starter fertilizers. Evolution can be used in areas of both sun and shade, making it one of the more flexible seed blends that requires very few inputs and very little work to quickly achieve a great looking lawn!
Unlike other grass seeds on the market that contain more than 0.5% weed seeds, Evolution contains no weed seeds! Evolution is also Blue Tag Certified as as a Non-GMO weed seed.

Evolution Application Instructions
- For New Seeding or Large Areas with Limited Grass: 5 lb. of Evolution Grass Seed per 1,000 square feet.
- For 25% Canopy Coverage: 4 lb. per 1,000 square feet.
- For 50% Canopy Coverage: 3 lb. per 1,000 square feet.
- For 75% Canopy Coverage: 2 lb. per 1,000 square feet.
- For Over-Seeding: Apply Evolution at a rate of 1.5 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
Application Notes:
- Apply when daytime temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 80°F.
- Do not use within three months of a synthetic pre-emergent being applied (can be applied before or after Safer Play 10-0-2 Gluten Steep Natural Pre-Emergent).
- Evolution is not recommended in warm season geographies such as Arizona and Florida.
